San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
1:30pm to 5:00 pm
With more than 7,100 entries, this event is the largest competition of American wines in the world. On the day of the grand tasting, thousands of wine lovers experience award-winning wines paired with delicious food, while top professional wine judges have the challenging task of selecting the finest wines from a crowded field of varietals in many categories; last pour at 4:30 p.m.
Taste wonderful vintages, learn more about wine and fine food, and enjoy fellowship and celebration on beautiful San Francisco Bay. Raise glasses and cheers to vintners and congratulate the winners in person.

40 Years of Cheers!

A community festival, for the whole family! Join us at the parking lot/lawn near the Healdsburg City Hall (401 Grove Street) from 11:00-4:00 for a day of fun!
We’ll have live music for your listening/ dancing enjoyment from 11:00-4:00.
Stroll among local vendors selling their art and crafts along with local authors selling/signing their books. The Healdsburg Museum and the Wine Library will have a display showcasing highlights from the wine industry in Sonoma County though the years. There will be fun activities for the kids with a craft tent, face painting and more!
Bring an appetite, as there will be plenty of food for sale from our local restaurants and caterers, and plenty of space to find a table to eat while you relax and take in the music. We are the Wine Road, so of course there will be GREAT wines for you to sample. Expect to see 30+ wineries on hand pouring their wines for you to taste. Wine Tasting tickets will be sold at the door $10 for 5 tastes – ALL proceeds from wine tasting will benefit Becoming Independent.

After lunch, choose one of several optional EXCURSIONS TO OTHER FOUNTAINGROVE DISTRICT VINEYARDS, WINERIES OR OTHER FEATURES. Then reconvene at Kick Ranch for DESSERT AND COFFEE.

Kick Ranch is a 42-acre working vineyard on 100 acres. While all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) will be available to transport guests, most will choose to walk about 600 feet from the parking area to the event through the vine rows. Dress casually and wear comfortable walking shoes and a hat. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
